An eight days program from Santiago to Santiago, which allow you to enjoy the extraordinary diversity of Chile. In the trip to the North at the begining, you will stop at Fray Jorge Nacional Park, to discover the tipical vegetation of the south. Then, we will go through the Elqui Valley, famous for its landscapes, and also to be the place where Pisco Licor is done. you will spend four day ride in the Andes, and spend the last time on the ocean coast to meet most of the local sea animals.

Day 1: We start from Santiago early in the morning with a private transfert to La Serena. During the trip, we will first stop for lunch in a little village and then in the Fary Jorje National Park to do a short trekking. This small park enjoy a specific weather and has the tipical vegetation you usualy find in the Valdivia Region. The contrast with the local aridity is very strong. We will arrive to the colonial city La Serena late in the afternoon. Night in a Bed and Break fast.
Day 2: After Breakfast, we will depart to the Elqui Valley. We will spend the day across small villages, knowing about Gabriel Mistral, Nobel Price of literatury, and tasting the Pisco (a kind of brandy). We will have dinner in Vicuña before visiting the Mamalluca observatory. After that, we will go to Cochigauz Valley to spend the night in bungalows.
Day 3: We just enjoy this peacefull place, full of good energy. A time to relax or to walk around. In the afternoon, we will meet our horses and have a late ride. We will have a tipical dinner, a chilean asado under the stars… We come back by nignt to sleep in the bungalows.
Day 4: In the early morning, we will begin the real expediction, after packing all the camping staff on horse back. Victor our guide will come with us along this beautiful valley, following the Cochiguaz river almost all the time. Little by little we will leave behind us all sort of civilisation. The landscape become very pure and breathless. We have a break for a snak and we will arrive late afternoon at the Cepo lake. Overnight in tents.
Day 5: We will have a long ride during the day to discover other beautiful places around and at the end of the afternoon, we come back again at the camping site, close to the lake, in which we can enjoy a fresh bath… Around the fire place, we just listen Victor telling local stories. Overnight in tents.
Day 6: After packing back the horse and saddle our horses, we will begin the trip back. We will arrive to Cochiguaz at the end of the afternoon, to enjoy a local speciality : special herbs bath or masajes Reiki. A good way to take out the tireness… Overnight in the bungalows.
Day 7: We are now leaving the Andes in the private bus in direction to Punta de Choros, in the north of La Serena. On the way, it is very comun to see “guanacos” the wild llamas. We are going to spend the night in the small village called Choros, in bungalows in front of a beautiful beach.
Day 8: Early in the morning we will go with a fisher boat to discover the Nature sanctuary of Choros Island and Dama island. Very often, many delfins will play around the boat during the trip. These little islands are also protected for the colony of Humbolt penguins and sea lions. We will have the oportunity to have a walk on Isla Dama and enjoy a splendid sightseing. At the end of the day, we will return to La Serena from which you will take a night bus after dinner to come back to Santiago. You will arrive to Santiago early in the morning. Note : The boat trip could be canceled for security if the sea conditions are too bad. In that case, a earth program will be proposed.
